China Glaze Strike a Rose❤

Happy Monday dears, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Maybe someone had some good weather?  We most certainly did not here in Vancouver; one minute it is raining and the next it is sunny! Such a tease! I am dying to take the girls to the beach but it would be such a waste if I drove 45 minutes for it to pour on us....

Anywho onto the nail polish! Today I am sharing one of my newest favourite nail polishes from the China Glaze City Flourish Collection for Spring 2014! I loved a lot of colors from this collection but only picked up two (although I am still tempted to pick up more!) This is definitely my favourite from the collection!

This polish came as a surprise to me because when I looked up swatches it had more of a orange undertone to it. However this is a full on bright pink rose color. I am head over heals in love with this!

The formula on this is a pink cream with a very fine milled glimmer running through it. Not quiet a shimmer. not quiet a glitter so I am going with glimmer :)

This nail polish is one of my favourite China Glazes...I do not have anything

quiet like it in my collection which is always a plus for me!

This dries super fast and glossy and has an average drying time.

I would without a doubt say this is a must have!!

Hope you are all having a fantastic day! I have done a little bit of shopping lately. Just picking up odds and ends at different stores from different outings. I thought I would share what I got :)

I found this striped long sleeve short from

Old Navy for $2!

                                I also picked up this dress from Old Navy when I picked up
                               Ava a winter jacket. I got it for $20 but the price changes a lot....

     It is really hard to see all the beauty in this tank top from my photo but it is gorgeous!
            It is a pretty peachy pink with silver metallic embellishments all through it. 
      I bought it from American Eagle when they had their 50% off sale, so I only paid $15!

 Target had their sandals on sale for $15 this past weekend! I could not resist that deal so I
picked up two pairs....although I could have easily picked up five more because they are all
SO cute!

             My sister wanted to look at jewellery from Suzy Shier and they were having a great  
                   30% off sale! I got these bracelets and delicate butterfly earrings for a couple
                                                        dollars! Such a fantastic deal!

Weekly Update❤❤

Do not ask me why but I have been coming up with  "weekly post " ideas lately. Pretty soon I will have started so many that I run out of days of the week! But this week I thought I would start a new weekly post called  "Weekly Update " which is basically my week in photos. I have seen some people with weekly Instagram pictures but I really do not post all that much on Instagram so this will be more in-depth! Hope you enjoy :)

Ava got a art aisle for her birthday and she has been painting up a storm all week!

I always put this out when I am doing something in the kitchen!

                                  This year Ava was old enough to do a Easter egg hunt!
                        It was very fun to do the hunt with her, now I need to find somewhere
                               to hide the candy where she will not be able to find!!

Miss Austyn is growing like a weed! It amazes me how much babies grow

so much in the first year of their life! She is smiling so much

lately and stating awake more and more during the day :)

 Easter!

 We did a lot of hanging out this week.

I was hoping the rain would hold off so we could go on

our walks but no such luck :(

Friday Favourites ❤

Happy Friday my loves! Hope you all are having a lovely Good Friday! I am very excited for this weekend and spending time with my family. This past year we have lost both my grandparents and it makes it so important to spend as much time together as possible! I hope you all get to spend time with your loved ones this weekend as well :)


This week I have been trying to use some products that are a bit older. I always get so much makeup at the end of the year and at Christmas time and anything bought before then seams to get pushed to the back of the drawer. So these are some of my favourites that I rediscovered this week!

Hard Candy Fox in a Box in Truth or Dare

I love the dolly pink blush side of this. It gives a nice doll like glow.

 

Ciate Nail Polish in Candy Cane

This glitter is a gorgeous cherry red. I love it for Jelly sandwiches!

 

Maybelline Mineral Power Foundation

This foundation is perfect for dry skin. I have been having the worst dry

 patches lately and this does not emphasize them.

 

Essence eyebrow pencil

Nice & natural. I don't get too crazy with my eyebrows but it is nice to give them a little definition.

 

Bath and Body Works Secret Wonderland Body Lotion

This is one of my favourite scents from Bath and Body Works.

I will be very sad when I use this all up!

 

The Balm Meet Matte Nude Palette

I basically always use a matte shadow in my crease and for some reason I have

no single matte eyeshadows. This is perfect for all my single eyeshadows and I love

all these colors!

 

                                                                          Fail:
My fail this weak is Almay's Nearly Naked Liquid Foundation. I never could remember why I stopped using this but I think I may have found out why. This breaks me out like crazy! I am going to try this one more time to make sure this is what is breaking me out but I am pretty sure this is it!

Orly Sparkling Grabage ❤❤

Hope you are all enjoying your day. The munchkins and I have been inside all day waiting for the cable guy to come and install our new modems. I always feel very weird about having a stranger in my house when I am alone. I think I read the newspaper too much because I get creeped out over  too many things now a days!! Do any of you get like that or am I crazy?

Anyways today I wanted to share a goodie with you all from Orly. This came out last year and I almost missed it because I went through a short stage of I am never going to wear greenish nail polish because it will clash with my clothes. I got over that really quick and was able to pick this beauty up at Marshalls when Orly was getting rid of all of their old bottles....

How stunning is this color? Seriously I just love the shade of teal this is with all the gorgeous holographic glitters! I guarantee you that you do not have a nail polish exactly like this already. This is a jellyish polish and you can see under your nail. You could use a  blue or white as a basecoat but I kind of like this finish! What I like the most about this polish is how long it lasted! Almost an entire week without minimal chips and trust me as a mother to young children that just does not happen! Overall this is a must have!

This week for my style post I wanted to talk about someone who I have liked for years; Miss Holly Madison. When I picture girly she is what comes to mind! Her earlier outfits were definitely a tad more risqué but has toned it down the last couple years. Here are a few of my favourite outfits from Miss Madison...

I am obsessed with Holly's signature flowy dress and cardigan. It is very 50's Housewife with a fun flirty twist. Not only do I love fashion sense but I am obsessed with her hair! It reminds me of princess hair. This girl has fun with her style and takes lots of chances. She might not always be spot on but you have to admire her creativity!

Sephora Beauty Wishlist❤

 As much as I hate to admit it, since Sephora started their 15% off VIB sale I spent a few  hours on the website putting together a wishlist. I was very good and ended up ordering a couple things I needed and a few goodies for my mom for mothers day! That does not mean that I was not dying to order a hundred more things!! So I thought I would put together a little list of what I would buy if I had endless funds....

I have been eyeing all the Nars cheek products for so long!

It is best to try them out when they have these palettes!

I have been really into colored eyeliners lately. I love how bright the

Sephora set has and I heard the quality is amazing!

Too Faced Sweet Heart Perfect Blush in  Something About Berry

This is another product that really gets me with their

adorable packaging! I am really into shimmery blush so these look perfect!

Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette

I saw this in Sephora after Christmas and got the Too Faced Christmas palette instead.

I will be kicking myself for that forever! These colors are so pretty and wearable,

I just need it!

Essie Under Where ❤

Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I went out for the first time without my kids since I had Austyn back in February. It was really nice to have a night with adults but I could not wait to get back to my babies! I'm becoming one of those parents that can't be away from their children...oh my!  

    Anyway today I am sharing a very pretty nail polish I picked up last year from the Essie
      Resort collection 2013. I am not sure why but it took me this long to actually wear it!

Under Where is one of those colours that I can never decide if it is pink or purple.

Essie describes it is a Orchid shade, so let's go with that!

The colour of this polish is one that makes me happy just looking at it! It is just so darn beautiful and refreshing. Definitely a must have I must admit! The formula on it is amazing, thinner then most Essie's but no streaking. Two coats is perfect. Dry time is average. Overall just a fantastic nail polish & one I would recommend!
