China Glaze Grape Juice

Hey Lovies ❤❤
Happy Long weekend Friday (The best kind!!) I have lots of family over  so I will busy all weekend. Excited!! Anyways I will get on to the Varnish. I picked this up when Sally Beauty Supply was having their 2 for 10 on China Glaze.

This varnish is a gorgeous deep purple with millions of silver shimmers in it.
What I love about this color is that when you apply two coats it is a shade lighter then I have swatched but it still fully opaque. But when you add a third coat it is a tad darker. So you can wear it either way.
I do not have a lot of experience with China Glaze so I have not decided what their regular formula is (and then you always get some colors that are miss-formulas within any brand) This varnish had an excellent formula....not to thin not to thick. It dries fairly quickly so no smudging. I have no complaints about this!!

Essie Grow Stronger Review

Hello Dolls ❤❤
I used to love going to the salon every two weeks to get my nails done but now that I am a mom I don`t have the time or the $$ for it. For the last few years I have been obsessed with trying to grow out my natural nails and keep them strong!!  I picked up Essie Grow Stronger last summer and have been using ever since. My bottle is on its last legs so I thought I might as well do a review before it is completely empty.
Essie Grow Stronger retails for between $8-$10 in drugstores. I was lucky enough to find in the clearance bin for $4!

Okay, So first of all my nails are not the worst when I don't use anything. I'd say they would be around the same length of my broken middle nail below. I am not a nail biter but I am very ruff on my nails. I am cleaning and playing with Ava, taking care of my dog and everything in between. Which means my nails get a lot of wear and tear. On a second note, to get the length I have now I use other products paired with nail strengthener (such as cutical oil, Vitamins, and Nail treatments)
Essie Grow Stronger is the third nail strengthener I have tried. I must say that most nail strengtheners are similar in growth (which is my main goal) The formulas I have found to be a lot different between brands and how strong they make my nails feel. Sadly, Essie has been my least favorite. My nails were slightly stronger but I noticed a lot of peeling when I used this product compared to others. When I paired this with cutical oil it did the trick of strengthening but I still had some peeling going on which is why I always seem to have a finger or two that are way shorter then the rest.

Pros:

  • Lengthens
  • Affordable
  • Fast results
Cons:

  • Slightly thick formula
  • Peeling to the nail

Verdict....
I don't think I would repurchase this right now. It was average, nothing special. There is others for similar price that I prefer to this one. Have any of you tried this product??

The Balm Shady Lady Palette

Hello Lovely Ladies  ❤❤
Happy Friday!! Hope it is sunny where ever you are!! I wanted to share some swatches from a recent palette I purchased. I have been loving eyeshadows from The Balm SO much!! They are great quality and gorgeous colors!! What more could you ask for in a palette??

This is the first installment of the Shady Lady Palettes. Each palette comes with 9 eyeshadows. Most are pearlescent  shimmer shadows but there is a few with some glitter in them as well. I love these palettes because the colors are all very wearable!!

The above swatches are without Eye Primer and the Below are with.
                                                             From Left to Right:
Caught In the Act Courtney A brown Glitter (Although None of the glitter transferred to skin)
Shameless Shana A lovely chocolate brown with just the right amount of shimmer.
Luscious Lani A light champagne pink. This one was the least pigmented of the bunch.
Jealous Jordana A very dark Forest Green. It is so dark it comes off as black but you can definitely see the green in real life. It also does not transfer those glitters onto the skin that well.
Risque Renee A Dark Royal Blue. The glitter in this is a little more noticeable. This is very pigmented. A little goes a long way.
Curvy Cami A nice light purple with gold glitters. This one surprised with how much I liked it on the skin!!
Jet Setting Jennifer A yellow toned gold. It pairs perfectly with any of these shadows!!
All About Alex A very nice camo color. I was scared this would be too dark but it is a really nice and easy color to work with.
Easy Wheezie A nice stary blue. This is the kind of blue that I love to wear. It is right inbetween dark and light.

I use this palette at least two days out of the week if not more. I have been using Luscious Lani and Shameless Shana together as my go to look when I don't have time to experiment with something new. I also have used Easy Wheezie a few times as a really nice dark blue eye for the night. My most used shadow of the bunch has to be Jet Setting Jennifer. I use this in my crease all the time even when I am using colors from other palettes as well!! I definitely recommend this palette!! The eyeshadows are two times bigger then the average palette and the price of the palette is on the cheaper side of most palettes. You definitely get your moneys worth!! I found some on Amazon for only $29 Here!!

OPI A Butterfly Moment

Hey Beauties ❤❤
Happy Friday!! It is SO beautiful outside I hope it lasts all weekend. Ava is at the perfect age for outdoor activities now, so we will be spending a lot of time in the sun!! Today I am going to share one of my favorite pink nail polishes by OPI A Butterfly Moment.

As soon as I saw swatches of A Butterfly Moment online I was on a search to see what salon had them in stock first. It reminded me of a Jessica nail polish that my nana used to wear....I actually still have her bottle of nail polish but it is all goopy and dried out and just unwearable. Whenever I wear this it reminds me of her, it's funny the little things we remember about people when they are gone.

A Butterfly Moment is a delicate champagne pink. It has a warm golden glow to it that makes it so classy. OPI formulas never seem to disappoint me and this color is no exception. It is opaque in two coats, no streaks or bubbles just perfection :)

Do any of you have nail polish that reminds you of someone??
