Revlon Parfumerie African Tea Rose

How are you all doing? Good I hope. I can't believe we had more snow this weekend...I am over it! I need summer now please! Since I have been dreaming of summer I have been choosing summer nail polish colors to get me in the mood!

A few months Revlon sent me a Revlon Parfumerie nail polish through the Revlon Selects program. The color they sent me is African Tea Rose. At first glance this looks like a regular bright Barbie pink. When you take a closer look this has a gorgeous purple glow through it.

When I painted my nails I was happy to see that this subtle purple sheen transferred to your nails. It just adds this lovely glow to your nails!

 The Parfumerie collection is all scented nail polishes that are supposed to smell like their names. I like the normal Revlon scented nail polish line so it is no surprise that I love this line as well. The formula on this is AMAZING! It dries very fast and even with absolutely no streaking. I wish all nail polishes had formulas like this. This smells very strong of roses just like the name says. The scent lasts about two days, it starts of very strong and slowly fades off. Definitely a must have!

Myster VoxBox L'oreal Canada

So a few weeks ago Influenster started their Mystery Box campaign where they sent out mystery products in their Vox Boxes. When you received your box you were supposed to use it and then try to guess what product line its from. I was lucky enough to receive one of these boxes and this is what I received....

In my box I received three hair products labelled: Shampoo, Conditioner, and Split End Serum.  I have used all of these products for about three weeks now. I use the shampoo and conditioner every other day and the hair serum everyday. The shampoo and conditioner alone made my hair feel silkier and softer. From the roots to about 3/4 down feel and look very nice. As for the split ends they still looked dry and straw like. I really enjoyed how much the shampoo lathered in hair. The serum does make them look a little less straw like but they still look quiet dry. I was not expecting a miracle that erased my split ends so I was not too disappointed by this. None of these products felt heavy on my hair. They did not have a distinct scent to them, maybe a very faint scent of pear possibly? Overall I quiet enjoyed trying these products out. If I were to purchase one of these products again I think I would choose either the serum or the shampoo. My favorite thing about these products was how much the shampoo lathered in my hair I usually don't use a lathering shampoo so that was a nice treat!

My Little Pony Party

Hope you all had a great weekend! Today I wanted to share something a little different. Last month was Ava's third birthday and she wanted to have a My Little Pony party. I love looking at Pinterest for fun DIY party ideas and this year was no exception. So I thought I would share what I did and what worked for me :)

The first thing I did was make these unicorn horns and ears. I used this tutorial on this lovely moms blog! These were very simple to make; a bit time consuming but I made about one a night while watching tv before bed. I just used felt and elastic.

I think they turned out quiet nice :)

I made this Happy birthday sign out of construction paper and glue. Simple!

My mom and sister made this gorgeous cake! She used fondant for icing and gumballs instead of pearls. We just bought ponys from Wal Mart to place on top.

 I also made a ball game out of an old box. I found this idea on pinterest. This is the link of the picture but it does not link up to a website. You don't really need any directions though it is pretty self explanatory. This was a big hit with the kids (bigger then I expected actually!) I used pictures from a coloring book and just tapped them onto the painted box. 

I got pony stickers and printed out my little pony coloring pictures to decorate these bags. The little kids liked this!

We just got juice boxes to drink out of but to put the cutlery and felts in I decorated these pink cups with my little pony stickers. I could not find any my little pony decorations anywhere so this was a simple solution!

That was basically everything I did this year for Ava's birthday. I love doing DIYs for her parties and am pretty excited that I can do Austyn's  parties now too! Do you guys do DIY for parties or do you prefer to buy supplies?

Essence Stay With Me Lipgloss in Candy Bar

Candy Bar is a bright red with a tinge of pink. It is a red that is very easy to pull off without looking too done up. The consistency of these is not too sticky and not too opaque. It is the perfect inbetween of both! I love how long these lasts and they how they do not dry out your lips!

NYX Round Lipstick: Peach Bellini

Happy Monday! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for your week. I'm getting ready for maternity leave so I am working strange hours, but I can not complain cause after next week I won't have to go in at all, YAY :)

Today I wanted to share a NYX lipstick I picked up back in September. I love NYX lipsticks, they are pigmented, long lasting and come in beautiful colors. And did I mention they are affordable? Whats not to love about that?!

This shade is called Peach Bellini. It is a gorgeous bright red-orange shade. I love this color on others but to be honest it is a bit out of my comfort zone. I am hoping I can force myself to wear it in the summer because it is so beautiful! Like other NYX lipsticks this is a great formula. It lasts a couple hours before you need to re-apply and looks lovely with a gloss over top!

Overall Thoughts...
I would re-purchase this. It is a great deal for $4 available on CherryCulture.com (Worldwide)!
