Essie Under Where ❤

Hello my loves❤
Hope you all had a fabulous weekend! I went out for the first time without my kids since I had Austyn back in February. It was really nice to have a night with adults but I could not wait to get back to my babies! I'm becoming one of those parents that can't be away from their children...oh my!

Anyway today I am sharing a very pretty nail polish I picked up last year from the Essie
Resort collection 2013. I am not sure why but it took me this long to actually wear it!

Under Where is one of those colours that I can never decide if it is pink or purple.
Essie describes it is a Orchid shade, so let's go with that!

The colour of this polish is one that makes me happy just looking at it! It is just so darn beautiful and refreshing. Definitely a must have I must admit! The formula on it is amazing, thinner then most Essie's but no streaking. Two coats is perfect. Dry time is average. Overall just a fantastic nail polish & one I would recommend!

Style Spotlight: Miranda Kerr❤

Hey Dolls ❤❤
Ever since I had Austyn I have been enjoying wearing all my old clothes and clothes I got for Christmas gifts that I could not wear because I was so huge! As it is turning into spring I really want to find some new pieces for my closet so I have been on pinterest looking up outfit ideas. One girl who keeps popping up is Miranda Kerr. Every picture I have seen of her she looks so put together yet casual and confident! Her style is totally effortless and never overdone. And did I mention how cute her son is?! Her are a few of my favourite outfits.....

Michael Kors Nail Polish & Lipgloss Set❤

Hello Loves❤❤
Hope you all are having gorgeous weather like we are here in Vancouver! I am certainly ready for spring time! I can hardly wait for camping, weekend trips to Seattle, lake days and everything else that my family does in summer. And of course I cant forget my birthday!

So today I wanted to share The Michael Kors lipgloss & Nail Polish set that I got for Christmas. I have never tried Michael Kors cosmetics before so I was very excited to see how I liked them.

The set includes a nail polish in the color Gossip and a lipgloss in the color muse.
Both products are full size.

Muse is a sheer peach shade with small shimmer throughout.
The formula on this is decent and it doesn't have an over sticky feeling.
The problem I have with this is how sheer it is. It shows up basically clear which with a drugstore lipgloss would be fine, but the price point does not match up with the quality of this.

Gossip is a cream white nail polish with no glitter. It dries to a nice glossy finish.
The formula on this is absolutely terrible! It is terrible thick almost to the point of being goopy. That also makes it incredibly streaky and hard to apply.

Honestly I think you could save your $20 and get a nice cream white by Sally Hansen for around $2 and it will be much easier to apply! I had really high hopes for Michael Kors makeup. I love his handbags and shoes and he should probably stick to that.

 3/10
Would I Repurchase? No
Price:
                                                                     $50 for the Set

Nicole By OPI Disco Dolls❤

Hey dollies❤❤
Hope you all are enjoying your Mondays (or not lets be honest!) I honestly can not complain about Mondays right now because I am on mat-leave so everyday is the weekend for me. But I truly feel for all you working lady's! This weekend we took it easy because the next couple of weekends will be busy. I just focused on trying to find the perfect Easter gifts for my girls....Ava is quiet easy because she wants everything but I am having a hard time deciding what to get Ausyn. There is only so much a 2 month old needs. If any of you have suggestions I would greatly appreciate it!!

Anyways today I wanted to share some pics of a really great Christmasy glitter (why I am posting this in April who knows!) It is from the Nicole by OPI Kardashian Christmas collection in 2012. I picked it up from the discount bin for only $2 which is a steal for Nicole by OPIs which normally run from $9-$10!

Disco Dolls is a yellow toned gold glitter with some fuschia, spearmint, and silver glitters mixed in. They are all medium sized glitters and take about 2 coats to reach full opacity. It has a slight grit to it when dry but you can easily add a top coat to give it a nice glossy look and feel.

I have never seen a glitter exactly like this one. I really think it is a must have for the festive season. If you can get your hands on it I would! The formula is really great for a glitter. Not at all goopy which often happens with glitters. It is a little bit of a task to get off but you wont often find a glitter that isn't.

Introducing Austyn Elizabeth ❤

Hi loves ❤❤
I haven't been doing posts about 'life' as often as I used to but I thought that introducing my new little one was a big enough reason! I am going to dedicate this entire post to Miss Austyn Elizabeth and share some photos of her :)

Miss Austyn made her arrival on February 11th (I can not believe she is almost 2 months old!) It definitely has been a transition bringing a new baby into our house, but I must say that  it was definitely a lot easier then having my first daughter! Which is funny because had warned me how much different it would be after two. I think I have grown so much patience by having Ava that having a 2nd child did not seem like a huge difference. I am sure that will all change when Austyn becomes more mobile and I am running after two! But for now I am really enjoying having both my girls and spending as much time with them before I have to go back to work!
                                                         Thanks for reading :)

ELF Ultimate Look Mauve Set Review & Swatches ❤

Good morning Lovelies ❤❤

I hope you all are having a lovely day! I love trying new makeup and was very excited to receive this ELF kit from my friend as a gift. I wanted to share some swatches and a review of all the products :)

I love mauve!
The set includes one pair of eyelashes, black eyeliner, Lengthening and Defining mascara, pencil sharpener, sponge applicator, and three eye shadows.
I quiet enjoy ELF lashes and for the price you can just not beet it!
One thing I don't like about this kit is how these eye shadows do not have any names on them. It's not a big issue but I am the type of person that likes to know the names of everything.
Above is the eye shadow shades without eye shadow primer.
Above is swatched with eye primer. I love these shades SO much!
They are a bit powdery and are not terribly pigmented but you can definitely build them up  to a nice shade! They do have fallout so you need to make sure to tap your brush!
As for the mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow brush. Do not waste your money! These products are beyond terrible! The mascara was ridiculously thick and goopy. You could not even apply it to your lashes because it was too thick.

The eyeliner was hard to apply and did not last long enough finish applying mascara.
It shows up more of a grey then a black which is my pet peeve for black eyeliner!

And the eye shadow brush has the worst fallout I have ever seen in a brush! It would literally fall out in large chunks as you were applying it!

                                                                            4/10
                                                Would I Re-purchase? Not as a kit
                                                              Price: $7 for set $1 a piece

Revlon Lash Potion Review

Hello my loves
I hope you are all having a lovely day! I have been busy busy with the girls and trying to get the house under control since Austyns arrival! I have been loving having all this time to spend with them though!

So today I am going to be sharing my review of the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara.
I was sent this a while ago and started using it in January.

                                                              This has a standard wand.
I really love the colors of the packaging on this.
                                                                Before
                                                                            After

I have to say the more mascaras I try the more I realize I am picky about my mascaras!  I have only tried one mascara that I truly loved (but of coarse was not willing to spend the $ to buy it regularly!) I am hardly ever wowed by a mascara and this was no exception! This mascara gave me a tiny amount of extra length and hardly any volume. It has a nice thin consistency which I love! I am not too fussy about wands but I do like this one more then an angled or rubber end. This seems to wear well for a long time. It does not seem to dry or crumble which is always a plus! All in all it is an average mascara!

                                                                                5/10
                                                          Would I Re-purchase: Maybe...
Price: $8 @ drugstores but I found it for $3 on Amazon!                                                                             ❤❤
