BroadWay ImPress Press on Nails Review❤

Sorry I have been absent lately, I have had back to back family visiting for the last couple weeks. So needless to say things have been a little hectic! Anyways last week I received a VoxBox from Influester that had not one but two packs of Broadway Impress Press on nails! I was pretty excited because these designs I actually liked! That's about as far as my liking went for them....so just a warning this will not be a 'good' review if that is what your looking for...

I received two packs of Impress nails

The pack on the left is from their new Villains Collection, this one is Maleficent.

The pack on the right is a pretty pink nail with black, white, and silvery blue details.

                                                  The design on these are very pretty!
                                   They look glossy and as nice as if you got gel nails.
                                                 They also don't chip which is a plus!

 

 
 
    

The first problem I have with these is how darn short they are! These are ridiculously short. I mean I do not have long nails by any means but even when I filed down my nails

they were still poking out. I had to force my self to file them in the first place

and was not about to make them any shorter. 

Even though these were short they did not fit my nails in width. You could see

my nails a great deal on both sides.

When I first saw these I laughed because it reminded me of when I was in high school

and we would all get the glue on nails, those were terrible! And they never stayed on for

more then a day. These stayed on for three, none fell off on the third day

but when I ran my fingers through my hair my hair kept getting caught under the nails

to a point that it would rip out my hair.

You could also see that the tips were beginning to lift. I am sure one

of them would have lifted by the next day.

 

These looked bulky and felt bulky overall not a win for me!

ELF Ultimate Look Mauve Set Review & Swatches ❤

Good morning Lovelies ❤❤

I hope you all are having a lovely day! I love trying new makeup and was very excited to receive this ELF kit from my friend as a gift. I wanted to share some swatches and a review of all the products :)

I love mauve!

The set includes one pair of eyelashes, black eyeliner, Lengthening and Defining mascara, pencil sharpener, sponge applicator, and three eye shadows.

                    I quiet enjoy ELF lashes and for the price you can just not beet it!

One thing I don't like about this kit is how these eye shadows do not have any names on them. It's not a big issue but I am the type of person that likes to know the names of everything.

                               Above is the eye shadow shades without eye shadow primer.

  They are a bit powdery and are not terribly pigmented but you can definitely build them up  to a nice shade! They do have fallout so you need to make sure to tap your brush!

As for the mascara, eyeliner, and eye shadow brush. Do not waste your money! These products are beyond terrible! The mascara was ridiculously thick and goopy. You could not even apply it to your lashes because it was too thick.

 

The eyeliner was hard to apply and did not last long enough finish applying mascara.

It shows up more of a grey then a black which is my pet peeve for black eyeliner!

 

And the eye shadow brush has the worst fallout I have ever seen in a brush! It would literally fall out in large chunks as you were applying it!

Revlon Lash Potion Review

I hope you are all having a lovely day! I have been busy busy with the girls and trying to get the house under control since Austyns arrival! I have been loving having all this time to spend with them though!

        So today I am going to be sharing my review of the Revlon Lash Potion Mascara.
                    I was sent this a while ago and started using it in January.

                                                              This has a standard wand.
                                         I really love the colors of the packaging on this.

I have to say the more mascaras I try the more I realize I am picky about my mascaras!  I have only tried one mascara that I truly loved (but of coarse was not willing to spend the $ to buy it regularly!) I am hardly ever wowed by a mascara and this was no exception! This mascara gave me a tiny amount of extra length and hardly any volume. It has a nice thin consistency which I love! I am not too fussy about wands but I do like this one more then an angled or rubber end. This seems to wear well for a long time. It does not seem to dry or crumble which is always a plus! All in all it is an average mascara!

Revlon Auquamarine

Hope you are all having a lovely week. Today I wanted to share a Revlon Chroma Chameleon nail polish in Aquamarine. I have a couple different nail products that they sent me that I will be sharing in the next little while :)

Although I am not much of a blue nail polish girl this was pretty. These nail polishes are all Duo-Chrome. These particular color is a nice Aqua Blue. In the sunlight you can see some shades of purple in it. The formula on this is great, not streaky, and easy to apply. You can get it opaque with 2-3 coats and then build it up to how dark you want it (neat!) The only problem with this nail polish is the price point. These nail polishes are priced at $8 a bottle and for only 8.6ml that is pretty darn expensive!

Jordana Twist & Shine Balm Stain

I hope the new year is treating you all lovely. I can't complain, yet! Just kidding I love the new year although I hate saying goodbye to my Christmas decorations...my house is so sad without them! Anywho today I wanted to share a lip product that I am head over heals in love with.

 None other then the Jordana Twist & Shine Lip Stains. I am sure you have all heard about these but if you are one of the few that have not then keep reading :)

I was very tempted to order every shade of these because they are so affordable ($3!!) but I reframed because I wasn't sure if I would like them or not. I am VERY picky about lip products because I have such sensitive and dry skin. I would say my lip area is the most sensitive so products that are too drying are a no-no!

                                                                  I chose three shades:
                                                                  06 Cranberry Crush
                                                                    04 Candied Coral
                                                                        08 Terra Cave

 
These definitely live up to the moisturizing aspect of their name which is a must for me with lip stains. I hate when you are left with dry stained cracked looking lips after a few hours. And these definitely do not do that. The staying power of these is decent (I would say I re-apply every couple hours) and for the price you just can not beat that! Another problem I can have with lip balms or stains is that I have very dark pigmented lips so some shades just do not show up on my lips. I only notice that Candied Coral is a bit of a different shade on my lips but not in a sheer way. It comes off a little more Coral on my lips then on my swatch. The other two shades are nicely pigmented and are good to go on their own. Overall, I would rate these a 4.5/5 and would definitely be open to buying more shades!

I ordered these off of CherryCulture.com which is an International Cosmetic website. Jordana is not available in Canada so I can only find it there as well as some other brands! If you live outside the US I would check them out, they always have great sales going on as well!!

Equate Nail Polish Remover Pads

I have always been curious about nail polish remover pads and when I was travelling this summer I thought it was a perfect excuse to try some out. I must say I did have a lot of expectations from these pads. Since they were literally soaking in remover and were a thicker pad I thought they would make removing nail polish a breeze. Not so much luck.....

I have heard that some people prefer to use remover pads for glitter or hard to get off polishes because they are so much more effective then normal remover. This promises that the pad is extra thick which it is. It also promises that one pad removes all ten nails. Not so much.....more like two nails if you are lucky (and that is even on the easiest cream polish) You have to really really work to bring the easiest nail polish off. This is honestly the most in-convenient way to take off nail polish. I am thinking that it may be because it is acetone free but I have used Equate acetone free remover before and it worked better then these pads. Needless to say I will be sticking to the traditional removal process from now on!

Essie Trophy Wife

Today I wanted to share a new love of mine! I will be the first to admit that Essie has never been my favourite nail polish brand. I never really disliked it I just never got into them like everyone else. After all the great collections they did last fall I decided to check out some swatches from them from their core collection. I made a small list of colors and there was one color that stood out to me that I was literally running out to look for. It was Trophy Wife which I quickly learned was discontinued. Then I happened to come across a single bottle in a random place on the shelf and I just about died.

This color is absolutely gorgeous! A nice turquoise color that just seems to pop off of my nails, this is a must have for summer but definitely goes nicely into all seasons. I may be a little bit obsessed with this! The formula is amazing. It dries quick, does not streak, and is completely opaque with 2 coats! I can not say enough about this except if you come across this and you do not have it YOU NEED IT!! It is gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous!

Essie Grow Stronger Review

I used to love going to the salon every two weeks to get my nails done but now that I am a mom I don`t have the time or the $$ for it. For the last few years I have been obsessed with trying to grow out my natural nails and keep them strong!!  I picked up Essie Grow Stronger last summer and have been using ever since. My bottle is on its last legs so I thought I might as well do a review before it is completely empty. 

Essie Grow Stronger retails for between $8-$10 in drugstores. I was lucky enough to find in the clearance bin for $4! 

                                          
Okay, So first of all my nails are not the worst when I don't use anything. I'd say they would be around the same length of my broken middle nail below. I am not a nail biter but I am very ruff on my nails. I am cleaning and playing with Ava, taking care of my dog and everything in between. Which means my nails get a lot of wear and tear. On a second note, to get the length I have now I use other products paired with nail strengthener (such as cutical oil, Vitamins, and Nail treatments)

Essie Grow Stronger is the third nail strengthener I have tried. I must say that most nail strengtheners are similar in growth (which is my main goal) The formulas I have found to be a lot different between brands and how strong they make my nails feel. Sadly, Essie has been my least favorite. My nails were slightly stronger but I noticed a lot of peeling when I used this product compared to others. When I paired this with cutical oil it did the trick of strengthening but I still had some peeling going on which is why I always seem to have a finger or two that are way shorter then the rest. 

Pros:

• Lengthens
• Affordable
• Fast results

Cons:

• Slightly thick formula
• Peeling to the nail

Verdict....
I don't think I would repurchase this right now. It was average, nothing special. There is others for similar price that I prefer to this one. Have any of you tried this product??

SpaRitual Imaginarium

I've been waiting to share this with you for almost a year!! I received it for my birthday last year and wore it many times throughout this year but never got a good enough picture that was "swatch" worthy!! I have never seen a color quiet like this one which is why I was so excited to share it. It is a neon pink with a nice pearlescent finish, very unique to anything in my collection. 

My pictures definitely do not do this polish justice. I feel like the brightness of this did not transfer onto photos. I could not get over how bright this was, definitely a perfect summer color!! The formula was perfect and a breeze to apply. SpaRitual is a vegan company and their polishes are 3 Free. I always wonder how long polishes like that will last and this one actually lasted longer then other polishes. 

                  Do you own any SpaRitual products??
