China Glaze Keep Calm, Paint On ❤

                   Sorry I have been so absent lately I have been very lazy! Yes I admit it!
             So I will just get right into this nail polish because I have a lot to say about this!

I picked up Keep Calm, Paint on last year when it came out. I absolutely love the color of it (creams with fine glitter are my favorite!) I love how light this mint is it really reminds me of mint chocolate chip ice cream! My love for the color is probably the only reason I put up with the formula of this because man oh man it is bad!

When I first bought this the formula was on the thicker side, workable bought noticeably thick. I went to use it again this winter and it was beyond thick! You could not even it out and it would not dry because it was so thick and goopy! Yuck! I am hoping that nail polish thinner will fix this but I am quiet disappointed! This bottle is practically full and usually nail polish thickens when it gets low or has been left open! I really expected more from China Glaze! Oh well....

China Glaze Strike a Rose❤

Happy Monday dears, hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Maybe someone had some good weather?  We most certainly did not here in Vancouver; one minute it is raining and the next it is sunny! Such a tease! I am dying to take the girls to the beach but it would be such a waste if I drove 45 minutes for it to pour on us....

Anywho onto the nail polish! Today I am sharing one of my newest favourite nail polishes from the China Glaze City Flourish Collection for Spring 2014! I loved a lot of colors from this collection but only picked up two (although I am still tempted to pick up more!) This is definitely my favourite from the collection!

This polish came as a surprise to me because when I looked up swatches it had more of a orange undertone to it. However this is a full on bright pink rose color. I am head over heals in love with this!

The formula on this is a pink cream with a very fine milled glimmer running through it. Not quiet a shimmer. not quiet a glitter so I am going with glimmer :)

This nail polish is one of my favourite China Glazes...I do not have anything

quiet like it in my collection which is always a plus for me!

This dries super fast and glossy and has an average drying time.

I would without a doubt say this is a must have!!

China Glaze Trendsetter

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend and got to enjoy some Christmas festivities! Now that it is December every spare moment is going to be spent doing all the fun and not so fun stuff that comes along with Christmas. Tis' the season right?

 

So today I wanted to share this lovely gem I managed to scoop up at a flea market! Now usually I would not buy nail polish from a flea market because I have gotten knock offs before. But I feel like I kind of know how to tell if it is fake or not so I decided to go for it and picked up a couple colors of China Glaze. Trendsetter was the first color I chose because it stood out to me so much. It is what one would call a ugly pretty color (if that makes sense lol!) As my boyfriend calls it "baby puke".

What I absolutely love about this polish is the gorgeous shimmer. That is definitely what ties in the pretty to the ugly. I absolutely adore this polish. The formula is a breeze to work with. It dries in amazing time with no streaking or bubbling. Just perfection in a bottle!!

China Glaze Grape Juice

Happy Long weekend Friday (The best kind!!) I have lots of family over  so I will busy all weekend. Excited!! Anyways I will get on to the Varnish. I picked this up when Sally Beauty Supply was having their 2 for 10 on China Glaze. 

This varnish is a gorgeous deep purple with millions of silver shimmers in it. 

What I love about this color is that when you apply two coats it is a shade lighter then I have swatched but it still fully opaque. But when you add a third coat it is a tad darker. So you can wear it either way.

I do not have a lot of experience with China Glaze so I have not decided what their regular formula is (and then you always get some colors that are miss-formulas within any brand) This varnish had an excellent formula....not to thin not to thick. It dries fairly quickly so no smudging. I have no complaints about this!!

February & March Nail Polish Haul

I didn't post my February nail polish buys but still wanted to so I put the two past months together. After the February haul I wanted to try and only buy nail polishes I really want. Well I think I did well on that part but I was hoping this would mean I would be buying less nail polish.....that was not the case. I did buy much less then January but still purchased five nail polishes each month.

I had been searching for the Mariah Carey collection all throughout January but Canada was late top the game as usual. I wasn't planning on getting the other two OPI's but they had a deal where if you buy three you get them for $8 a piece rather than $10 each. I came across Disco Dollz on sale for $1.99 and just could not pass it up!! It will be perfect for Christmas next year!! And the Zoya.......well Zoya is rare in Canada so as soon as I saw it I just could not say no!! I can see why people love Zoya so much!! It is an amazing polish!! The mini Nicole's are a gift set I received for V-day from my wonderful mother!!

I really wanted Keep Calm, Paint on but was going to pass on it because of my little trying to cut down on nail polish idea. But then Sally Beauty Supply had their 2 for 10 sale on China Glaze and well need I say more?? At  the end of the month I went to the States and they have such great deals on nail polish in the states I always seem to find lots of bargains!! This time I actually didn't find that much and I think I bought the two sinful colors because I wanted to buy something (hate when that happens!!) When I got home I realized I have to VERY similar nail polishes already. I guess I have back up's now!! I was very pleased with Hot Chili Pepper though!! I always have avoided orange reds but I have been wanting to try some and Rimmel is so affordable it was a good brand to choose to see if I liked it!!
